Lab.Square

Hall 3.1


Lab.Square is the brand new area of Vicenzaoro which gathers 6 gemological institutes among the most qualified in the world for the analysis of precious stones.
During Vicenzaoro September, from 7 to 11 September 2019, there will be the following laboratories: Danat, International Gemological Institute, Italian Gemmological Institute, Borsa Diamanti d´Italia, International Colored Gemstone Association and Gemological Institute of America®.

At the Lab.Square Danat, International Gemological Institute, Italian Gemmological Institute, Borsa Diamanti d´Italia and International Colored Gemstone Association will provide verbal opinions on precious stones as well as the diagnosis and identification of natural / synthetic diamonds, all without compensation, supporting the sector and helping both visitors and exhibitors who request it in order to support the search, selection and purchase process of raw materials.

Thanks to the introduction of the Lab.Square, the offer of Vicenzaoro becomes more and more complete and exhaustive, bringing together in a single place and moment the different phases of procurement, to guarantee the best experience of visiting favoring an ethical and transparent trade.

Danat

As a reflection of Bahrain’s ancient pearling history and the strong desire to protect this heritage, DANAT was established as the guardian of global gemological excellence.
DANAT is an authority on industry standards, scientific knowledge and education, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional and personal ethics.
Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) was established in 2017, under the aegis of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom.
Its vision is to become the world’s preferred institute for natural pearls and gemstones’ third party verification services and scientific research.

INTERNATIONAL GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE

IGI, the International Gemological Institute, was established in Antwerp in 1975 and is the largest independent gem certification and appraisal institute in the world. IGI's leading position in the gemological world is the result of continuous pioneering research, as well as support and synergy from and with professionals and consumers alike. Around the world, IGI reports ensure confidence when buying or selling diamonds, gemstones and jewelry.

ISTITUTO GEMMOLOGICO ITALIANO

Istituto Gemmologico Italiano (I.G.I). is a no-profit Association, founded in 1973 in Milan, and recognized by the President of Italian Republic with legislative decree n. 767 on August 11 in 1979. The gemmological laboratory avails itself of the know-how gained over decades of experience in scientific research and guarantees an accurate, impartial and always up-to-date service.
The I.G.I. collaborates with organizations, institutions and universities in order to conduct scientific research in mineralogical and gemmological fields, publishing articles on some of the most important (national and international) specialized magazines.

BORSA DIAMANTI D’ITALIA

Borsa Diamanti d´Italia is a free association of merchants, mediators in diamonds and precious stones, goldsmiths and similar. The purpose of the Association is to give its Members a place to develop and promote initiatives that can be useful to the Members themselves. The Association itself is a non-profit organization.
The Borsa Diamanti d´Italia was founded on 2 December 1926 in Milan and has been federated since 1954 to the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, of which 30 Diamond Grants are present in 21 countries around the world.

INTERNATIONAL COLORED GEMSTONE ASSOCIATION GEM LAB

ICA | GemLab are experts in the origin determination and treatment detection of colored gemstones. Their expertise comes from our unique ability to combine knowledge of renowned gemologists with the latest technology available to meticulously inspect gemstones and determine more than 40 geographical deposits. Their services are responsible, ethical and transparent: three cornerstone values of the company.
The lab works in affiliation with the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA). The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) is a non-profit organization and the only worldwide body specifically created to benefit the global colored gemstone industry. It now comprises over 700 gem industry leaders from mine to market who are devoted to advancing and promoting the knowledge and appreciation of colored gemstones.

GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF AMERICA

GIA (Gemological Institute of America®) is the world’s foremost authority on diamonds, colored stones, and pearls and it protects the public through gemological research, education, impartial gem identification and grading services, and instrument development. Established in 1931, GIA sets the global standard for determining the quality of diamonds and performs research-based identification of colored gems and pearls.
