A completely new format for the highly anticipated presentation of The Jewellery Trendbook 2021+ at Vicenzaoro September 2019.

A unique panel of top influencers, designers, trend experts and journalists will join Paola De Luca, Founder and Creative Director of Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting, Vicenzaoro's first independent Observatory specialized in analyzing and forecasting trends in the world of jewellery, to discuss of new trends, of cultural phenomena of our age and of the style directions that will guide jewellery production in the coming years.

The Jewellery Trendbook, now in its 18th edition, is an international reference point for the jewellery goldsmith world. Divided by thematic areas (jewellery, watches and diamonds), it describes the evolution of consumption in the luxury market and takes a careful look at the emerging phenomena that condition the evolution of society, reflecting on purchasing behavior.

Paola De Luca, in 2012, together with Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. – organizer of VICENZAORO, one of the world’s leading international Jewellery Show – co-founded TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting, an independent observatory focusing on trend forecasting for the jewellery industry where she supports the project as its Creative Director.

Starting her career in New York in 1989, she landed her first job as a designer for Fendi Jewellery and Watches. She later collaborated with leading luxury brands, such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Harry Winston, and Swarovski among other prestigious associations.

As a fourth-generation jeweler, Lauren admits that jewelry is “in her blood”. She is an award-winning, groundbreaking jewelry retailer and curator for MAYFAIR. Lauren’s professional acting career led her to work behind the camera, where she became a disrupter, serving as the first ever jewelry stylist for TV and film and the first to put fine designer jewelry on hit shows like The Sopranos (HBO). As a passionate taste maker, Lauren has converted consumer focus away from jewelry as a traditional gift item, shifting instead to female self-purchase, empowering women to buy and wear jewelry regularly for themselves.

Lauren is the second female and the youngest ever inductee to the National Jeweler Retailer Hall of Fame (2002). She was awarded the “Key to Italy” in 2003 by the Italian Trade Commission, as well as “Jeweler of the Year”. You can find Lauren front row at fashion weeks worldwide. She has made the Best Dressed list of the NY Times, Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and more. A leading jewelry insider, Lauren regularly sources and nurtures international budding jewelry designers to help bring them to the U.S. market.

Mrs. Kulchinsky Levison also regularly supports charitable initiatives like Huntington Breast Care Action Coalition (named Woman of the Year), Planned Parenthood NY and the National Alliance for Mental Illness New York State (NAMI NY).

Known for having a good eye, Lauren is always on the cusp of discovering new talent. She represents the fourth generation at Mayfair, a family run and family owned business which celebrated its 60th year in 2016.

Katerina Perez

Jewellery insider Katerina Perez is a specialist with professional knowledge and insight of the industry. Since training as a gemmologist at The Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), Russian-born London-based Katerina has worked as a freelance journalist and content editor since 2011.

She has written articles in both English and Russian for VO+, Robb Report and Kommersant, amongst others. Since founding her website in 2013, Katerina has championed the work of talented jewellers across the globe, from established brands to fledgling designers whom she has personally scouted.

Alba Cappellieri


Alba Cappellieri is Full Professor of Design of Jewellery and Fashion Accessories at the Politecnico di Milano, where she is the Director of the International Master in Fashion Accessories Design, of the Master on Brand and Product Management at the Milano Fashion Institute (consortium of Bocconi, Politecnico and Cattolica universities). She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels in Paris and of the Fondazione Cologni in Milan. From 2013 to 2016 she taught Design Driven Innovation at the Stanford University. In 2017 she was appointed Ambassador of the Italian Design at Osaka, in 2018 at Sydney and in 2019 at Baku.

From 2014 she is the Director of the Jewellery Museum in Vicenza, the only Italian museum exclusively dedicated to jewellery.

She curated several International jewellery exhibitions and her last publications include “"Jewels of the twentieth century, from Art Nouveau to 3d Printing." (Skira, 2018), “Chains, jewellery in history, function and ornament” (Silvana 2018), “Brilliant” (Corraini 2016), “Jewellery a la Mode" (Corraini 2016), “Sentimental jewellery” (Marsilio 2014), “Italian design meets jewellery”(with M. Lynn Yaeger, a contributing editor at American Vogue and, has been writing about fashion, culture, and jewelry for over two decades. Yaeger began her career at the Village Voice, where she was a senior editor. She has written for many publications, including Vogue Italia, the New York Times, Architectural Digest, Travel & Leisure, and Departures.

Though she covers many subjects in her work, her true passion is for jewelry. She has a vast collection of antique jewels—what better to spend one’s money on? —but she is also open to the work of new designers. Though she lives in New York City—look for her visiting the dealers on 47th Street! —she is equally at home on Portobello Road in London, the Rue St Honore in Paris, or anywhere else fine jewelry can be found.
