Franziska Höhne’s work aims at sensitising to gender discrimination issues, urging people to think beyond traditional categories so that everyone can become aware of their own identity, developing it freely without external influences. The collection, not resorting to explicit gender indicators, has selected materials that are metaphorically reminiscent of sexual stereotypes: wood is associated to the male idea of a hunter, ceramics represents the female image of a patient housewife, while silver is neutral.
