Diamonds to be set and limited editions
Precious stones with exceptional shades, gems with important carats and extraordinary purity. The great fashion and jewelry houses are focusing on the power of the raw material, even before on the design itself. But creativity is still the absolute protagonist.
As in the case of Chanel who created a collection of 45 pieces including watches and brooches with tweed weaves, a symbol of Coco fabric, gold, thin chains, pearls and precious stones. An articulated and exclusive process that produces a malleable material.
Then there is the dialogue between colors and shapes of Dior, where the gems also duet at 3 or 4 in the same jewel. Dior et moi is the collection of 39 pieces between between-finger rings, turquoise and pink sapphires, but also XXL opals with 50 different shades. Louis Vuitton offers a large record diamond: 1,758 carats, black, 352 grams in weight and rough appearance. A gem called Sewelô and it is the second largest rough diamond ever discovered.
Even Chopard focuses on the gems not yet set, presenting a collection ranging from a 21 carat sapphire to a round and flat emerald of 61, to an Australian black opal with blue and green reflections and a Paraiba tourmaline of 34 in a brand new turquoise. Boucheron relaunches the Interrogation Point, a necklace designed by Frédéric Boucheron in 1879 with a singular shape that allows it to be combined with even more casual looks, while Damiani celebrates 20 years of D. Side who celebrated the marriage between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston : two gold rings joined by even numbered diamonds to symbolize love, equality and balance. For the anniversary, the Italian fashion house presented a sautoir adorned with 610 diamonds (six carats in total) mounted on white gold.
