A worldwide first: in fact, Treesure is the only collection that unites the most precious of metals, gold, with the most valuable of threads, Italian silk. Production of the latter had ceased in Italy over fifty years ago but D’Orica has literally brought it back to life by buying the 1960s’ spinning mills so that they could obtain a 100% Italian silk, the only one to be certified by the Chamber of Commerce.

“In order to create Treesure, we had to rebuild the entire silk production line starting from scratch,” explains Giampietro Zonta from Treesure, “because Italian silk no longer existed. We were initially considered crazy, but we refused to give in to the idea of having to import a raw material that, for centuries on end, had helped build our country and had been one of the icons of Italian creativity and excellence. So, step by step, our craziness became reality and our company has become even more international and recognized. We are happy that, after four years of work, we can bring the Treesure collections with various shades of 100% Italian silk, embellished by gold elements and details, to Vicenzaoro.”
