Vicenzaoro overcomes market uncertainties and confirms itself as a global success.
Vicenzaoro September 2024, the international show dedicated to jewellery, goldsmithing, and watchmaking, organized by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), concluded today, recording a success equal to that of the record-breaking VOS23 edition. The event welcomed visitors from 132 countries, confirming its status as a global reference point.
Participation from Europe grew to 63.37%, while Asia and the Middle East reached 21%. Among the 10 new entry countries are included Honduras, Tajikistan, and Tanzania.
IEG has reached a new balance in the Vicenza gold trade fairs, after years of constant growth, by focusing on the quality of the audience. IEG’s CEO, Corrado Peraboni, emphasized that the collaboration with ICE Agency in profiling the hosted buyers was crucial, in a context where international demand is slightly contracting, but Italian exports are up by 60%. "We couldn't have asked for a better way to close the 70th anniversary of gold fairs in Vicenza," he stated.
Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager of IEG's Jewellery & Fashion division, added that, despite ongoing construction work for the new pavilion, the event ensured full navigability for visitors and the 1,200 exhibitors. Furthermore, the VO’Clock Privé format has proven to be unique in Italy, offering increased media visibility and higher quality events, both at the fair and in the city, further establishing Vicenzaoro as an international benchmark in the sector.
IEG's Jewellery Agenda continues with JGT – Jewellery, Gems and Technology in Dubai from November 12 to 14. In Italy, the jewellery industry will gather at the Valenza Gem Forum on October 10, and at the Italian Jewellery Summit in Arezzo in December. The highly anticipated return of Vicenzaoro January will take place from January 17 to 21, the first international goldsmithing event of 2025.
