Union of Excellence, Richemont Acquires Vhernier

Richemont Group has announced its agreement to acquire 100% ownership of Vhernier S.p.A., the renowned maison founded in Valenza in 1984 and headquartered in Milan, known for its innovative designer jewellery.
Vhernier was purchased by the Traglio family in 2001 and has since gained recognition for its modern and distinctive jewellery aesthetics, featuring unconventional materials such as titanium, bronze, and ebony, in combination with precious metals and gemstones. All Vhernier jewelry is meticulously handcrafted in Valenza to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and quality.
The brand's creations are distributed through a carefully selected network of single-brand boutiques and multi-brand stores across Europe and the United States.
In addition to jewellery, Vhernier also owns De Vecchi Milano 1935, a renowned Italian household silverware brand recognized for its contemporary and timeless designs. This acquisition presents an opportunity for Richemont to further enhance its portfolio in the designer jewelry sector.
Johann Rupert, President of Richemont Group, expressed enthusiasm for integrating Vhernier into the Richemont family of maisons, highlighting its unique aesthetics and its synergy with the group's other prestigious jewellery houses. Carlo Traglio, President, and Maurizio Traglio, CEO of Vhernier, welcomed the acquisition by Richemont, expressing confidence that the collaboration will accelerate the maison's development. The transaction marks an important milestone for both parties and is not expected to have a significant financial impact on Richemont's consolidated net assets or operating results for the current fiscal year. Vhernier's results will be included in Richemont's "Jewellery Maisons" business area.
The completion of the transaction is subject to certain conditions and regulatory approvals but is anticipated to be successful, offering new opportunities in the growing branded jewellery market.
