Vacheron Constantin consolidates a historic bond

On July 18, Vacheron Constantin forged a long-term partnership with the Palace Museum Educational Institute in Beijing, deepening a historic connection that dates back to 1845.
This collaboration, rooted in the shared values of education and the transmission of knowledge, marks a significant enhancement of the relationship between Vacheron Constantin and China. Located within the heart of the Forbidden City, the Palace Museum Educational Institute is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture. This new alliance with Vacheron Constantin heralds a fresh chapter in the Maison's longstanding commitment to art and culture. It underscores Vacheron Constantin’s dedication to preserving cultural heritage and fostering education, aligning with the Maison’s mission to uphold and transmit artisanal skills. Since 2007, Vacheron Constantin has engaged in numerous cultural partnerships with prestigious institutions, including the Barbier-Mueller Museum in Geneva, the Louvre, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The recent agreement extends the Maison’s cultural influence across three continents, working with the Palace Museum Educational Institute to develop educational programs and creative initiatives. YAN Hongbin, President of the Educational Institute, emphasized the value of integrating Western watchmaking expertise with traditional Chinese practices through innovative educational efforts. Alexandra Vogler, Marketing Director of Vacheron Constantin, highlighted the essential role of knowledge transmission at the core of the Maison’s philosophy.
This partnership extends a storied relationship between Vacheron Constantin and China, which began in the 19th century with timepieces commissioned by the Chinese Emperor. With over 265 years of history, Vacheron Constantin continues to honor and preserve the art of watchmaking and cultural heritage through these significant global collaborations.
