Patek Philippe Museum

Established in 2001, the Patek Philippe Museum is a veritable watchmaking temple that occupies an Art Deco building in the Plainpalais district of Geneva, displaying over five centuries of watchmaking history.

There are two collections: the Antica Collection with its specimens dating back to the 16th century, including the first watch ever made, and the Patek Philippe from 1839 to the present day, which illustrates over 175 years of creation of the most precious watches in the world, such as the Caliber 89, the most complicated that has ever been produced.

The Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva is considered one of the major watchmaking museums, boasting over 2,000 references and, among the exhibits, portable mechanical watches from the 16th century to 1839, watches of the brand from 1839 to the present, and a selection of enamel miniatures , an art that has made Geneva famous throughout the world.

The Museum also houses a library of over 8,000 volumes on time and its measurement.
