Jewellery in 2025 and 2026

The period from 2025 to 2026 marks a fundamental stylistic shift for contemporary jewellery: jewellery definitively abandons its role as a mere ornament to become an expressive structure, an architecture that interacts with the body, emphasizing gestures, proportions, and identity. Jewellery no longer responds to the logic of mere value display; instead, it is rooted in design, the distinct qualities of gemstones, and the storytelling capacity of the piece when worn.

In 2025, the concept of the jewellery-silhouette dominates. Nail rings, which are worn on the tip of the finger, framing the nail, emerge strongly. Their success reflects a new way of experiencing jewellery: no longer a peripheral element of an outfit, but a protagonist that expresses the personality of the wearer.

At the same time, the cocktail ring makes a comeback, celebrating the color and quality of the stones. The stars of 2025 are kunzites, admired for their delicate pink-lavender hues and surprising luminosity; garnets, particularly rhodolites and spessartites, chosen for their deep tones ranging from magenta red to warm orange shades; noble white opals and fire opals, with their soft and refined iridescent color play. A special mention goes to Paraiba tourmalines, which continue to dominate a growing global trend in 2025 due to their vibrant tones and rarity.

Settings are intentionally architectural: clean prongs, exposed baskets, emerging settings that create three-dimensional volumes, showcasing the stone without suffocating it, allowing light and color to guide the composition.

In 2026, the trend evolves into a true concept of transformable jewellery. Nail rings enriched with removable elements, stackable rings, and convertible necklaces and earrings become tools for personal expression, adaptable to different occasions and the wearer's style. Jewellery ceases to be static: it is designed to transform, interact with the body, and tell a different story with each use. Alternate surfaces—glossy, satin, hammered—replace excessive decoration, making way for a more essential and sophisticated luxury.

The real trend is expressing oneself and one’s individuality: through thoughtful design, refined color selection, and an ever-deepening fusion between gemstones and personality.
