On 21 June, the city of Ascoli Piceno hosted the official presentation of Elenère, the new high jewellery brand founded by Eleonora Boccalatte, former Creative Director of the historic maison Leonori.
The event took place in the evocative setting of the Seminario Vescovile, adjacent to the Baptistery of the Cathedral of Sant’Emidio, a space that, after more than twenty years of closure and a meticulous five-year restoration, has been returned to the public in all its splendour. A symbolically charged location, it now houses the showroom and atelier of the newly launched brand.
Eleonora Boccalatte has chosen to return to her roots, embracing the family heritage while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. Elenère was born from this convergence of tradition and personal vision, with the ambition of introducing a fresh language into the realm of Italian high jewellery.
Founded in 1962 in Forlì by her grandfather Agostino and later developed by her father Cesare, the Leonori name has long stood as a reference point in the world of fine jewellery. With Elenère, a new narrative begins. The brand’s name subtly echoes the consonants of both Boccalatte’s surname and given name, underlining a deep-rooted connection while also asserting a distinct identity.
Elenère’s creations focus on one-of-a-kind pieces and collections defined by a clear stylistic signature and distinctive gemstone choices: from a parure of over 25 carats of Colombian emeralds paired with flawless diamonds, to cocktail rings featuring rare and unconventional stones such as titanite. Among the debut collections – Anime, Peonia, Ortensia, and Victoria – a recurring design element emerges: the quadrilobe.
This ancient Gothic and Renaissance motif, once used to adorn and protect church portals, is here reimagined as the brand’s emblem, a refined symbol of timeless beauty.
