Capri, the beloved island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, today embodies a true way of life. Chantecler, the storied maison deeply rooted in this enchanted land surrounded by the sea, was among the first to intuit its essence and elevate it into a manifesto. They call it Capriness: a blend of myth, nature, marine atmosphere, and timeless elegance. An attitude that, on June 7th, triumphed in Las Vegas.
Chantecler’s Nautilus necklace was awarded the prestigious Haute Couture Prize at the 2025 Couture Design Awards: a veritable masterpiece featuring fourteen iridescent nautilus shells nestled among branches of colored titanium, white enamel, gold, and diamonds.
The light it emanates is icy, veined with shades of blue, like winter waves, when the sea turns fierce but remains breathtakingly beautiful. Behind it lies meticulous craftsmanship. A design that merges technology and artistry.
A composition conceived to evoke the grandeur of Greek mythology, the geometric gaze of Ansel Adams, Moholy-Nagy, and Paul Strand, and the baroque Wunderkammern with their rare and exquisite shells. “We are thrilled to have been chosen by our peers for this award,” said Maria Elena Aprea, Chantecler’s Creative Director.
“Our heritage is the beating heart of every piece I design, and the Capriness of our Nautilus necklace continues to narrate our story; one inspired by the beauty that surrounds us, shaped by advanced design and refined technical detail.”
