Garatti's jewels travel aboard the Orient Express

Garatti's jewels travel aboard the Orient Express

There are many ways to present a high jewellery collection; many ways to give it the story it deserves.

Garatti chose to do so in motion, quite literally: this past March, the historic Milanese maison transformed a journey from Venice to Paris aboard the Venice Simplon Orient Express into an auteur’s tale, entrusted to the cinematic and sensitive gaze of Ferzan Özpetek.

It is the first time an Italian high jewellery brand has rooted its narrative in such an immersive experience. No stage, no display cases: the new collection unfolds between train stations and compartments, through shifting landscapes and chance encounters, under the intimate eye of a director who knows how to capture emotion without excess. The result is a short film, set to be released in May, starring Kasia Smutniak, Isabella Ferrari, Greta Ferro, Saul Nanni, Giancarlo Commare, Denise Tantucci, and Andrea Di Luigi. Black Tie, the collection unveiled exclusively during the journey, offers a contemporary reinterpretation of bow ties, brooches, and cufflinks.

Garatti bends traditional codes to meet the aesthetics of the present: the materials remain noble – gold, diamonds, precious stones – but it is the attitude that makes them new, allowing masculine and feminine energies to merge and flow effortlessly. Alongside Black Tie, Garatti also introduced Liberty, a collection inspired by Art Nouveau. Its organic silhouettes recall gothic stained glass and sculptural fragments: forms that seem to have detached themselves from stone to rest with grace upon the body.

A tribute to the timeless dialogue between nature and art, reborn in delicate harmony.
