Marina B, new flagship on Madison Avenue

In 1986, Marina B opened its first space on Madison Avenue. Now, the brand returns to this iconic street with the opening of a new boutique set for this April.

Long admired by connoisseurs for creations aimed at a refined clientele and for bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces, the maison was founded in 1976 when Marina Bulgari left her family’s company to create her own brand. The goal was to design bold, distinctive jewellery meant to be worn every day, not just on special occasions. Her unmistakable style quickly gained international acclaim for its timeless elegance and expressive strength.

The opening of the flagship marks a new chapter for the brand, celebrating its history while embracing its continuous evolution. Nearly fifty years after its founding, the celebrations begin here, in the heart of Manhattan, where its creative heritage finds renewed expression without losing its bold and iconic identity. The space, conceived as a precious treasure chest, showcases both archival pieces destined for grand occasions and new interpretations of the maison's aesthetic. Collections such as Trisolina and Ondine, which reinterpret the spirit of the 1980s, coexist with exclusive high jewellery creations, confirming the brand's ability to innovate while staying true to its soul.

At the creative helm is Guy Bedarida, whose talent, honed at prestigious houses like Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels, carries forward Marina Bulgari's vision, reinterpreting it for today’s woman. The return to Madison Avenue is no isolated event.

Increasingly, historic and independent brands are investing in physical retail, transforming their boutiques into landmarks for those seeking an exclusive and authentic experience. Even in an era dominated by digital, the allure of a piece of jewellery chosen in person, under the soft lighting of a meticulously curated space, remains unparalleled.
