Buccellati reopens on Via Tornabuoni in Florence

The recent opening of Buccellati’s new boutique in Florence can be considered a return to its roots. Via Tornabuoni, the city’s most historic and exclusive street, is no stranger to the maison. It was here that founder Mario Buccellati, with the help of his brother Melchiorre, opened his third store in 1929, marking then, as it does today, a new and important step in the brand’s expansion in Italy. The boutique extends over three levels, offering an immersive experience across its 172 square meters of exhibition space. The journey invites visitors to discover Buccellati’s creations in an environment that evokes the elegance and atmosphere of Mario Buccellati’s original workshops, reinterpreted with a touch of modernity. An exclusive area is also dedicated to Art de la Table, Buccellati’s elegant silverware collection. The boutique’s façade retains a historic display window that reveals the brand’s unmistakable identity to passersby. Upon entering, visitors are welcomed into the first room by an imposing chandelier, while the original ceiling has been carefully preserved. The interiors are further adorned with antique mirrors. The walls are embellished with refined stucco decorations, expertly crafted to add an unmistakable artisanal character. The floor features traditional Venetian terrazzo, an ancient technique that, with its marble inlays and polished surface, lends the entire boutique an authentic Italian essence.
