Autumn hues

Autumn hues

With the arrival of autumn comes a renewed appreciation for the rich tones of the season of falling leaves. Bordeaux, chocolate brown, forest green and amber are the colours that most influence the way we dress and, consequently, the way we choose to illuminate our style. In jewellery, the crisp, bright tones of summer give way to a warmer, earthier and deeper palette, beautifully interpreted through yellow and rose gold, both perfect for reflecting the golden hues of autumn foliage. When it comes to gemstones, spicy and woodland shades prevail: citrine and amber capture the light of late afternoon, while garnet and ruby bring the dramatic notes of burgundy and pomegranate red to the body. Even green evolves, leaving behind grassy tones in favour of the nuanced shades of tourmaline and emerald, evocative of moss and the shadows of the woods. To fully embrace this aesthetic, all it takes is a considered interplay of shapes and textures: pieces that create rhythm against heavier fabrics, such as the pendant and chain by Asian Star, or accessories with organic lines reminiscent of natural elements brushed by the wind, like the bracelet by Cammilli Firenze. Nor are natural hard-stone bracelets missing, as seen in the creations by Vezzaro.
