Contemporary Visions of French Heritage

Contemporary Visions of French Heritage

In Paris, July has always been the month of dreams. The showcases of Haute Couture and High Jewellery bring the city to life with runway shows, exhibitions, and events celebrating the ultimate creative expression of the high-end sector. Once again, this year, the value of French savoir-faire was more vibrant than ever: a cultural code built on elegance, attention to detail, and master craftsmanship. Century-old techniques are passed down in the ateliers alongside continuous experimental research. It is precisely this equilibrium that conquered the world in the past and continues to do so today. Among the key players upholding this legacy is Viltier, which champions a radical and architectural approach to jewelry. In its latest creations, rounded volumes collide with the raw tension of asymmetrical lines, yielding a striking visual departure where every curve appears disciplined by rigorous design. Nouvel Héritage likewise interprets French heritage with an avant-garde spirit. Founded in 2015 by Camille Parruitte, the brand crafts its collections in French workshops, preserving while simultaneously reinventing high-manufacturing techniques. Finally, Copin, a house founded in 1870 and relaunched in 2022, blends a long-standing tradition with the contemporary vision of creative director Sajina Dutertre. Handcrafted in Paris, its jewelry stands out for its sculptural forms, elevated by diamonds and precious gemstones.
