The contemporary take on the eternity ring

The contemporary take on the eternity ring

Elegant, refined, long associated with the symbolism of eternal love, the eternity ring is among the most iconic jewellery designs ever created. Close in form to wedding bands, it now moves beyond its purely symbolic dimension to become a style device. It is worn on its own, stacked, mixed: its emotional meaning remains while its function evolves. This shift is driven by contemporary interpretations from brands that embrace experimentation in design, loosening the jewel from its original codes and repositioning it as a desirable, cross-category object. Chief among them is Recarlo with pieces from the More collection. Open eternity rings designed to be layered and freely combined, where the purity of diamonds meets the magnetic energy of semi-precious stones such as London Blue Topaz or pink tourmaline. Ama, meanwhile, maintains a closer dialogue with classic design while intervening on materials: the Oval Cut Eternity Ring is crafted in 18k recycled rose gold and set with five significant lab-grown diamonds of 0.30 ct each, for a total of 1.50 ct. A softer balance, where the oval cut introduces a less rigid rhythm compared with the traditional brilliant cut. Acredo shifts the focus to colour. Its Eternity rings with coloured stones become emotional variations: pink, blue, red, green, yellow. Each choice constructs meaning, from the birth of a daughter or a son to a more open code linked to personal identity or to a purely chromatic attraction.
