The light of diamonds to celebrate the summer solstice

The light of diamonds to celebrate the summer solstice

The summer solstice on June 21 officially marked the astronomical beginning of the summer season. It is the longest day of the year, the day when light reaches its maximum extension. For millennia, this transition has been celebrated with rituals, and community festivals: monuments oriented along the path of the sun, ceremonies dedicated to fertility, and cults of fire and rebirth. Jewellery, too, captures the symbolic power of this celestial phenomenon. Diamonds and gems with icy reflections mirror the same luminous vibration of the solstice, in a dialogue between glamour and astronomical observation. Brusi, a jewellery brand designed and crafted in Milan, has given shape to this inspiration with the Brightfall collection, where champagne-colored diamonds are skillfully distributed to create authentic "cascades" of light. The diamonds, chosen in different sizes, also bring to life the flexible rings by Demeglio, which feature an elastic structure that allows the piece to adapt naturally to different finger sizes. Morganne Bello, on the other hand, focuses on compositions of diverse stones, such as the luminous pairing of diamonds and mother-of-pearl in the Victoria Diamonds earrings.
