The new wave of Ukrainian designers featured in the book Ukrainian Jewelry

The new book “Ukrainian Jewelry | Contemporary Jewelry and Art Jewelry from Ukraine,” published by Creative Publishing and authored by Liusiia Bondar, offers an exploration of Ukraine’s contemporary creative landscape. Through the work of established brands, independent designers, and studios specializing in precious stones and materials, as well as fashion designers, ceramists, and experimenters with unconventional materials, the volume presents a comprehensive portrait of a sector that in recent years has shown remarkable capacity for reinvention, often in response to the war and the tensions of the present. Promoted by the Strong & Precious Art Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2022 to support Ukrainian jewelry artists, the publication illustrates how ornament can become both an artistic language and a vehicle for cultural preservation, situating Ukrainian creativity within an international discourse on art and design. The result is a portrait in which aesthetic and meaning intertwine, individual talent and collective resilience converge, and each piece of jewelry emerges as a testimony to a living art form, safeguarding traditions and heritage.
