The sign of the Fire Horse in contemporary jewellery

The sign of the Fire Horse in contemporary jewellery

Now firmly embedded in the collective imagination, in East and West alike, Chinese New Year, or the “Spring Festival” (Chūnjié), celebrated on 17 February 2026, marks the transition from the Year of the Snake to that of the Horse. More precisely: the Fire Horse, a combination that returns once every sixty years and amplifies energy, vital drive, charisma, a desire for movement. Jewellery translates the symbol into creations destined to last beyond the season. The horse, after all, has always belonged to the lexicon of jewellery, now a revival is born that reworks ancient codes and brings them into the present with a renewed relevance. From the horseshoe that remains the talisman par excellence, as with the lucky charms proposed by Rue des Mille, to the “D” bit, a technical element of saddlery, whose silhouette is already very celebrated, which the brand Savin Milano reintroduces in a minimalist version in the jewellery of the L’Equestre collection, in 18-carat gold and diamonds. There are those, too, like Carrera Y Carrera, who have managed to immortalise the powerful energy of a galloping horse, in a ring of masterful workmanship, now iconic.
