The triumph of statement necklaces at the 2026 Oscars

The triumph of statement necklaces at the 2026 Oscars

Jewellery and the Oscars: an inseparable combination. The red carpet of the 98th Academy Awards was a spectacular showcase of high jewellery. Actors and artists were anticipated as much as their jewels, which, as always, did not disappoint. Earrings, brooches, watches, and rings shone, but it was the necklaces that truly captured attention, lighting up the décolletés of the most elegant female celebrities. From Jessie Buckley in high jewellery by Chanel to Rose Byrne in a Taffin diamond creation, and on to Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anne Hathaway wearing spectacular pieces by Bvlgari. Kate Hudson opted for a rare 41-carat green diamond by Garatti. The imposing necklaces reignited a taste for dramatic aesthetics, balancing vintage charm with futuristic design. An imperial yet modern style, evident in the offerings of several contemporary brands. Fabergé, with its Colours of Love Empress necklace in white gold, Sugarloaf emeralds, and diamonds, tells a “life in color” story through artistic ingenuity and masterful craftsmanship. Fope’s two-tone, diamond pavé necklace speaks of contemporary luxury, combining significant gems with unmatched flexibility. And Roberto Coin’s Princess Star, in 18-carat white gold and diamonds shaped as stars and flowers, is a handcrafted jewel that embodies uniqueness and radiance.
